Step-by-Step Instructions

Prepare the Special Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, grated onion, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
Whisk until smooth and fully blended.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop and deepen.

Cook the Beef Filling

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned.
Drain excess fat if necessary.
Reduce heat to medium and stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assemble the Wraps

Pat the lettuce leaves dry using paper towels.
Layer two or three leaves together, slightly overlapping, to create a sturdy wrap base.
Spoon a generous portion of the warm beef mixture into the center.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, sliced pickles, and a generous drizzle of special sauce.
Serve immediately while warm.

Tips for Best Results

Chill the sauce ahead of time for a more authentic and balanced flavor.
Use fresh, crisp lettuce to prevent tearing and improve texture.
Allow the beef to cool slightly before assembling to keep the lettuce crisp.
Finely chop toppings so every bite feels balanced.

Variations and Additions

Swap cheddar cheese for American or Colby Jack for a different flavor.
Add diced tomatoes for extra freshness.
Use ground turkey as a lighter alternative to beef.
Serve the filling over chopped lettuce as a Big Mac-style salad.

Storage and Reheating

Store the cooked beef in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently in a skillet over medium heat.
Assemble wraps fresh for best texture.
The special sauce can be stored refrigerated for up to 5 days.
